However, July 1, 2010, she was appointed Sr. Pastor, (on loan) to Lynwood United Methodist church, Lynwood, CA. She served there six years, and 2016, was assigned as Senior Pastor to First United Methodist Church-Compton, to present. Before her appointment to Lynwood she served as Associate Minister/Minister to Women at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Los Angeles, California. She is Adjunct Professor, University of La Verne Ecumenical Center for Black Church Studies, and a Board member. She also serves on Board of Directors for Los Angeles Metropolitan Churches (LAM), and Bethel LACDC Board member. Served as one of the instructors for the 4th year studies, Board of Examiners for the Southern California Conference, 5thDistrict of the AME Church. She also received certification from The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for completion of Region II Clergy Academy and served with The Lennox Clergy Council. Arnetha has provided leadership as Project Coordinator, for C.A.S.E. (Creating A Safe Environment) for the past twenty-years. CASE is an Interfaith, prevention and intervention domestic violence program with Interval House Crisis Shelters. She has facilitated the English Domestic violence classes for the past 14 years and provides counseling to victims of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). She has 30+ years of professional experience, a competent, reliable, and committed professional with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and counseling skills. As a cooperative, positive, prophetic, and committed leader, Arnetha builds bridges between the faith community, communities of color and domestic abuse programs across the state, enabling the voices of domestic abuse victims to be heard, and become powerful agents for change. |
