Demiko Fitzgerald is a native of Los Angeles, CA. He matriculated from Los Angeles public schools as valedictorian. Following graduation, he attended UCLA where he acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Computation. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Divinity program at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Demiko has more than 20 years experience in computer information technology and is presently employed at the Writers Guild of America, West as a Senior Quality Assurance Software Engineer. Having a strong desire to improve/enhance the quality of life for marginalized groups,
Demiko co-founded Rebirth Youth & Family Center in 2010. The aim of Rebirth - a 501c3 corporation –is to provide social services to the underserved and overlooked in Los Angeles County. In 2011 Demiko founded “Imagine If”, an annual event held during the Christmas season that provides attendees with clothes, food and toys. Last year, in 2019 over 300 individuals were served at “Imagine If”. On January 1, 2017 Demiko led the City of David Community Church in their inaugural service as founder and pastor. The City of David is a young vibrant ministry in Los Angeles, California committed to edifying, empowering and equipping the believers for service in the Kingdom of God. He is the proud father of one daughter, Zayala Fitzgerald. Zayala currently attends UCLA with a double major in Political Science and African American Studies, with a minor in Education. |
